nonsense

i'm writing an entry just for the sake of it. don't mind it too much.



yesterday, i finally got my stars printed. it took me an hour because there was this guy na nakiusap na paunahin ko na raw siya. he said that his prints would not reach 40 copies. heto naman ako, pinauna ko siya. so i waited for a long time before i got my turn. aba, alam niyo ba kung ilan ang pina-print niya? SIXTY lang naman.



i got a new comforter since my comforter's retired for a long time already. alam niyo naman ako, si ginawin. it's hard to sleep when it's cold. haha. plus the blanket that matt gave me for my grad gift is too small for me. wawa. my new comforter is all girly. cute. it's colored pink with cute designs like little kids with their mommies and a kid taking a bubble bath in a bath tub and a kid swinging on an improvised swing on a tree. cuteness. it was the last piece at Robinson's and it was also on sale. we got it for half the price. sweet.



i also bought baronial envelopes that were the wrong size. they were supposed to be the envelopes for the Christmas cards for my friends. great. (oh yes, Christmas cards!)



sa wakas, napanood ko na rin ang The Incredibles. aliw.



got a new pair of shoes. it wasn't what i really wanted, but i guess we really couldn't have everything that we want. sigh. it will do.



okay, enough nonsense. have to sleep now, will have to do the laundry tomorrow.



oh, and happy rizal day, tomorrow.

kung totoo iyon, hindi na pala magkakatotoo ang aking wish sapagkat hindi ko naman nasimulan ang simbang gabi. sigh.

oh well..

okey lang, nakapag-serve naman ako noong ikalawang araw. =)

ang daming nagsisimba sa Gesu para sa simbang gabi. nakakatuwa iyong mga magkaka-barkada na talagang hinihintay ang 20.30hrs para makapagsimba. iyong mga iba ay nagdadala pa ng mga banig dahil talagang punung-puno ang simbahan, at wala nang maupuan. pero sana nagsisimba talaga sila, dahil napansin ko na iyong iba ay nagdadaldalan lamang at hindi naman talaga isinasa-puso ang Pilipinong tradisyon na ito. tandaan natin na isinasagawa natin ito para maihanda ang ating mga sarili sa pagdating ni Jesus Christ.

Ateneo Task Force Noah now appeals for monetary donations

*The cut-off time for the reception of donated goods was at 12:00 noon today, 5 December 2004. The task force is now constrained by the availability of volunteers and warehouse space for the physical handling and storage of donations in kind as regular classes begin on Monday. For this reason, we highly encourage donations in cash or check instead of goods in order to ease our problems of volunteers and space, while at the same time providing us flexibility in our continued operations.



*While we will continue relief operations as long as necessary, we will now begin to focus on finding the best way, as a University, to support heavily affected towns and communities in rehabilitation work and rebuilding lives.

my back hurts from carrying a whole lot of boxes of canned goods, noodles, clothes, bottled water, and a whole lot more of donations that rained in from people who had generous hearts.



but even if my back, arms, legs (actually my whole body) hurt, if given the chance to volunteer again, i'd still do it. :) kung hindi nga lamang ako kailangan bukas ng mga magulang ko, didiretso na akong Ateneo pagkagaling sa music extension classes ko eh!

Task Force Noah

NO CLASSES TODAY, DEC 2.



Dear Friends,



The Ateneo de Manila University has formed the multi-sectoral Task Force Noah to assist in relief operations in Nueva Ecija, Montalban and other affected areas by the recent tropical storms in coordination with the relavant government agencies and parishes. We are also preparing for Typhoon Yoyong that is expected to make landfall in Central Luzon within the next 48-72 hours. Also, The PAGASA reports an upcoming typhoon(Nanmadol) which is expected to hit the Philippine jurisdiction this Friday.

1. Food: Rice, Canned goods, noodles, non-perishable items

2. Clothing: Blankets, shirts (especially for the kids)

* A donation for P100 will buy 1 kilo of rice, 2 canned goods,a half-kilo of sugar, candles, matches, 4 packs noodles, and a small bag of coffee.
