Sa wakas, natapos na rin ako sa taon na ito. Pero ang hirap ng EnviLaw finals! Exagge. Oh well, kalimutan na raw. :b

Ansaya kanina sa Volunteers' Gathering ng SLB, nag-cheer sila para sa'kin nang sabihin kong "Ako si Jaymee, incoming senior AB Development Studies" :"> hehe, katuwa naman. :)

Ang ganda ng bahaginan kanina sa SLB, natutuwa ako. Tapos grabe haha, kinikilig ako nang nagiging teknikal na sila kasi nakaka-relate ako. :) Iyon ang aktwal na pinag-aaralan namin, ito na iyon. :) Yay.

Sa susunod na ulit, nonood ako ng TV. Break from everything. :)

The hostage situation was, thankfully, ended peacefully. While a tragedy in its delivery, please please do not ignore the importance of the message. Education is one of the most important keys to the development of our children's future. It is sad that it isn't as tended to as it should be. We can all do something about it! reflections on deadlines, et al

Deadlines are set to be followed, though there may be
some considerations made if there is a valid excuse.
If a deliverable is late by a day, it is forgivable.
If it is late by two days, it is already frustrating.
But a deliverable that is late for more than four days
already? That is horrible.

Time is very important. Time cannot be brought back
anymore so do use it properly. If a person does not
value his/her time, I do hope that he/she at least has
some ethic to not waste another person's time.

Leadership is not an inherent character for each
person. It must be learnt.

Sensitivity is the key for working efficiently with
other people.

Respect is a must.

Wala lang, kahapon pauwi naisip ko lang na si Sir Vince ang may "kasalanan" kung bakit nasa DS na ako ngayon. Naalala ko noong isang araw nung freshman ako, kinausap niya kaming mga Lit Majors para linawin kung ano ang mga pwede naming gawin sa susunod na mga taon sa Ateneo. Pwede raw kami kumuha ng mga minor para mas malawak ang mapapag-aralan namin (Cultural Heritage and Spanish sounded so nice for me then :) )

Pero yun.

After nung meeting, I stayed behind to talk to him personally. I mentioned that I was scared. I didn't really know how I would do as a Lit Major. My blockmates really knew what they were getting into, pero ako, di ko alam kung ano ang kukunin ko, di ko maintindihan ang mga "lit stuff" haha, tapos medyo feeling OP pa ako.. Anyway. Sir Vince and I talked in his office and explored my options. He asked me what I really wanted to do. He then suggested that maybe I could take Development Studies.

Parang light bulb moment yun. Di ko naisip yun kasi I limited myself to the Humanities courses only, I felt safe there then. Pero siya na mismo nagsabi na baka para roon ako.

Ngayon, isang taon at kalahati na akong DS major. Masasabi ko na para dito nga ako. Maraming pagkakataon na nahihirapan ako, pero naroon yung kagustuhang matuto pa rin. Marami na rin akong nakuha major subjects, at talaga namang nakakakilig kapag naiisip ko kung ano pa ang mga pwedeng mangyari. Sobrang nakikita ko na yung mga konkreto na pwedeng gawin dahil sa mga ginagawa sa majors. Masaya siya, sabi ko nga kay Joy, parang nag-o-org work lang kami, pero mas technical.

Ayun. Para sa mga nais maging Development workers diyan, maski na kumuha lang kayo ng ilang units for your free elective galing sa DS. Sobrang makakatulong. :)

Si Andoy

ang bago kong alaga. Pinaampon siya sa akin ng aking mommy at kuya. Hindi ko talaga alam kung kailan ang birthday niya, dahil ayon sa kanyang battery cycle count, 143 cycles na siya, ibig sabihin non, nagamit na siya bago pa mapunta sa akin. Pero marahil ito ay dahil sa pag-install ng kaibigan ni kuya ng mga software na sobra namang nakatutulong sa akin. :) (Yay for encyclopedia!) Pero para madali nalang, March 9 ang kanyang birthday.

Sa ngayon, malaki pa ang kanyang bahay dahil walang size 12. Itetext nalang daw ako nung nagtitinda sa Megamall kung may stock na. May pet mouse na rin siya--kulay green na may red na ilaw. Nagagamit na rin ang kanyang AirPort dahil may router na bigay si Kuya Jomar last year. Kaya naman kapag nasa bahay, tuwing gising si Andoy, siya ay konektado agad sa internet, automatic iyon, wala na akong pinipindot.

Kanina pala, habang nag-aantay ako sa Megamall para sa bahay ni Andoy, nilabas nung lalaki sa kabilang lamesa ang kanyang laptop, at natuwa naman ako dahil kapatid siya ni Andoy. Haha. :b Masyadong magastos ang alaga kong ito, pano may mga kailangan na sa Mac lang talaga nabibili. Hmp. Pero yun, kung kailangan naman talaga, ayos lang din.

Wala na akong masabi tungkol kay Andoy, except sa mahal na mahal rin siya ni Aleka. :)

(ate) tin, natuwa ako masyado sa comment ko sa blog mo, i-po-post ko sa blog ko. hehe. :)

Naranasan ko na ring maging guro dahil sa ANI (pamilyar ka ba roon?), at oo ang hirap mahiwalay sa kanila. Lalo na kung napalapit na ako sa mga studyante ko. Hindi kasi sila nananatiling mga pangalan lamang sa aking class record--nagkakaroon sila ng mga mukha, nagkakaroon sila ng mga katawan, nagkakaroon sila ng mga puso. Tayo ay nagkakaroon ng karanasan sa kanilang mukha (experience of the face) at ito ang makapagbabago ng lahat.

Mahirap mahiwalay dahil naging bahagi na sila ng buhay natin, pero dapat matutuhan nating mahiwalay sa kanila dahil sa pagiging hiwalay lamang magsisimula ang totoong pagsasama.

Hay, alam niyo ang sakit gumawa ng philo paper. haha. It's because I become more aware of myself and there are times when it's hard to accept that.
