In truth, all human beings are called to be saints,
But that just means called to be fully human… [and Christian]
The saints are simply those men and women
Who relish the event of life as a gift and realize
That the only way to honor such a gift is to give it away.
- W. Stringfellow

For those who feel they are having tough times:

1. I love you not because you give me happiness but because I want to give you happiness.

2. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

3. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

4. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them

5. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

6. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

7. Time that isn't shared with anyone is wasted time.

8. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

9. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

10. There's always going to be people that can or will hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

11. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

12. Don't expect things to be the best, the best things come when you least expect them to.

13. In times of trouble: you have the right friends if your friends haven't left you.

14. Always remember: whatever happens, happens for a reason.

15. There's always a good reason for every bad situation.

We three kings...

Sunday, January 08, 2006

Be like the STAR followed by the wise men,
Serve as a guide and light
To those who are lost and in the dark
That they may find their way...

Happy Three Kings.

Mass Awareness Month 2006: FIRE

Saturday, January 07, 2006
Ateneo College Ministry Group
invites you to participate in

FIRE: Faith Ignited and Renewed Through the Eucharist
January Mass Awareness Month

Schedule of Activities

GALLERY

January 9-27, 2006 in front of the Loyola Schools Chapel Entrance
The gallery features the different profiles of the priests who celebrate MASS weekly at the Loyola Schools Chapel. It also features fun and interesting facts about the Eucharistic Celebration. In line with the Loyola Schools Campus Ministry Office’s Christ Awareness Week from January 16 – 20, 2006, the gallery will also feature the “Different Faces of Christ” as seen by Ateneans’ eyes and depicted through their art.

MASS DEEPENING SESSIONS

Faith Reborn through the Eucharist 1
January 9, 2006 (Mon) 4:30 – 6:00 pm at the College Chapel
Knowing what goes on in the Celebration of the Eucharist can help foster a deeper appreciation for the rite itself. Set within the context of the mass, each integral element is discussed as it is practiced.

Faith Reborn through the Eucharist 2
January 10, 2006 (Tues) 4:30 – 6:00 pm at the Social Science Conference Room 3 and 4
What problems do the youth face when it comes to the Eucharist? Why are they somehow indifferent to the Mass nowadays? These and other questions will be tackled as the different components of the Mass are discussed and the significance of each component is explained in order for the youth to understand.

Eucharist: Igniting Youthful Faith Through Music
January 18, 2006 (Wed) 4:30 – 6:00 pm at the Science Education Complex Lecture Hall 2 (SEC B201)
Music is a staple in the life of the youth…What is the use of music in the Mass? Do composers of liturgical music keep the youth in mind when they compose? How can the music be made more enticing to the youth without disrupting the solemnity of the Mass?

Youth Speak
January 19, 2006 (Thurs) 4:30 – 6:00 pm, 2006 at the Ching Tan Room (SOM 111)
We conclude the MASS deepening sessions by asking our target audience…the youth: After the sessions, what are their thoughts, insights, opinions, yearnings and sentiments concerning the Eucharist and their own journey towards the Eucharistic Lord.

MASS SPONSORSHIPS
Month of January
We are also inviting organizations, groups, departments, and individuals to sponsor MASSES during the month of January. As sponsors they may participate as readers, servers, choir, etc. for the Mass. Trainings for such will be provided by the ACMG.

happy 2006

hey, it's the third of january.
so sorry haven't written here for the new year. :) well, i have pictures of us with our new year hats, but i still haven't uploaded them. maybe tonight.

i still haven't got my cards printed. i'm going to Katipunan today (maybe at 11a) to have them printed. i'll also have to buy baronial envelopes!! wah. anyone want to come with me? it's kinda boring cutting paper then folding them then inserting them in the envelope. :(

anyway.

it's back to school tomorrow. sigh. i haven't done my Christmas readings. oh no. haay. i still haven't done my sci10 homework (well, i've done a part of it, but i still haven't done the transportation thing. i'm taking a jeep to school today, by then i'll see how many km i travel. i don't know how to do the private transpo part, for our trip counter is busted).

well, hopefully we all have a happy 2006!
just keep the faith burning.
patuloy sa pagsilbi!
