I'm done with my Philo midterm orals. I got thesis statement number 4. Yay! Yun ang pinaka-naintindihan kong TS. :)

At tsaka nga pala, naurong ulit yun, instead of 445 today, my orals was at 315 instead. (Pero 340 na nagsimula talaga). Tapos grabe, haha, may disorder ata ako regarding things not in order. Haha, habang nag-o-orals ako, I really wanted to fix his glass table because tabingi ang pagkakapatong sa frame. Haha. Oh no. :-s Oh well. Hahahahahaha. Ang funny.

Nagsimba kami ni Partner kanina. :) Yay, tapos lunch after. Sobrang tagal na nang huling nakapag-usap kami. Catch up. :) Talked about her last month in school, her plans, my plans, the future, and some joke time things. :) Ayun. Bugged her na sasama ako sa lunch sa graduation niya. hehe. :) Haha naman no, kapatid ko na si Partner! haha kaya dapat kasama ako. haha. :b

Philo midterm orals

para maalala ko:

1. The “traumatisms” from life make us reflect. But it is from the “loving struggle” with texts that we become aware that “the true life is absent”. Philosophy as the quest for the “sense of life” can be prepared for by the love of literature (especially national) and the love for the Bible, the Book of books.

2. To think philosophically is to reflect on my lived experiences and to come up with answers that I can address to all humanity.

3. For Husserl, phenomenology as rigorous science recalls the new vigor given to the intentionality of consciousness. For Heidegger, ontology is the attempt to anwer the question of being as verb.

4. Levinas’ fascinating insight on the urgency to escape “il y a” helps us appreciate the coming of being as existents. In existing, however, there is still a solitude of being from which I have to be delivered by the Other.

5. In emerging as a separate being, I immediately experience life as innocent enjoyment—jouissance. Life is a sincerity.

6. The social relation with the Other is a relation of dis-inter-ested-ness where the I is non-in-different to the Other. The relations of eros and fecundity are relationships beyond knowledge, possession, and power.

Grabe, ang bilis-bilis ni Lord sumagot ng mga panalangin, lalo na kapag Tuesday. Haha, promise, every Tuesday ang bilis Niya sumagot. Minsan wala pang tanong may sagot na. O 'diba?

When you get hurt because you see the fact that you cannot give to the Other, then it is still all about you. You get hurt because you expect yourself to be able to give. You expect yourself to be able to receive something out of that giving of yourself. That is still totalizing the giving aspect. Discernment is necessary to see if you can give to the Other--whether the Other really deserves that something that you will share with him. That is the response (or the answer) that you will give to the Other. It is not just a matter of giving, and giving, and giving. Definitely you will exhaust yourself with that process. Remember that Levinas has always reiterated that our first responsibility is to take care of our selves. We have to respect our limitations. It is not bad to not give to the other, in fact these realities that we face, of not being able to give now pushes us to strive more. These pushes us to do good more. Maybe it could be likened to Sustainable Development--we have to be able to consider the other people that we may still help in the future. If we exhaust ourselves now, if we exhaust all our Being, then how can we offer ourselves to the rest of humanity?

di ko pa rin alam kung paano ko sasagutin ang mga thesis statements. ang nakakatawa, di ko maintindihan sa sarili ko, pero ang daming nagpapaturo.. err. naipapaliwanag ko naman, at naiintindihan naman daw nila, at sobrang natutuwa pa sila. pero promise, di ko maintindihan. haha. oh well.

I will sleep in a while. I'm just waiting for my video to finish saving. Yay, I actually finished it (tho it's late. I told Ma'am Alma I'll be able to show it last Thursday, but I only finished now). I'll show it to the class on Tuesday, hopefully. I borrowed Vinia's speakers na so that they could hear the music. :) Yay.

I wasn't able to go to the activity for the Agap Bikol volunteers today. I slept and slept lang. :) Yay. Nakahabol na rin ata ako sa sleep ko. Pero haha, ayan na naman tayo, quarter to 11pm na naman. Oh well. I also fixed Kuya's iPod. Yihee. Haha. Mom asked me, "Magkano bayad dyan?" (she meant sa pag-aayos ko ng iPod ni Kuya), I answered "Libre lang, love ko kasi si Kuya eh," tapos papansin naman si Kuya, "I know that" hahahaha. Ayos.

Kanina naggitara ako sa Misa. Nag-kalat ako! haha. Oh well, sabi ko nga, mahal pa rin ako ni Lord kahit na palpak ako sa Misa. :)

This reality is kinda sad and mysterious, but I guess I have to accept it because I cannot do anything about it.

practicum, et al

wow, feeling grown up naman na ako, inaayos ko na ang resume ko at sinusulatan ko ang contact ko sa ESSC para tanungin kung pwede ako mag-practicum doon. :) yay. di ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko sa email. wala pang laman yung sulat ko sa kanya, kanina ko pa tinititigan. haha. :)

balak ko ay kukuha ako ng dalawang practicum, para ma-free up ang three units sa senior year. space for free elective! yay. :) at tsaka para sulit ang pag-enroll haha. yun pala yun eh. joke. gusto ko dalawa talaga para maraming experience. :) ito ang mga pinagpipilian ko:
- ESSC
- IIRR
- FOLPMI
- KAISAHAN

yay. ang dami. hehe, top 1 ko ang ESSC tapos FOLPMI. hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang pwedeng gawin sa ESSC. sa FOLPMI naman, one month immersion. :) excited na ako. pero bago yun, kailangan ko muna ayusin ang mga requirements ko (ehem resume). hehe. :) at kailangan ko pa pala magpa-consult kay Sir Land about my doing two practicums.

kanina magkasama kami ni AJ. :) sobrang tagal na rin nang huli kaming nakapag-usap. buti naman at nakapag-catch up kami. ngayon may deal kami sa isa't isa na kami ay mag-DL this sem or at least maka-3 para naman maipaskil na rin ang pangalan namin sa board ng DS. haha. :) in fairness ha, mas matapang na ako ngayon. maraming salamat sa PoS120, mas malakas na ang loob ko.
