What do you live for? What is your advocacy?--these are questions I've been asking myself lately. In order to find the best career, I have to know what I'm passionate for.
Just throwing around ideas, in no particular order:
Faith Formation
Disaster Management
Health Care
- Mental Health Care
- Cheaper Medicines
Can't think of anymore. Now which one to work for... Do you know opportunities for the said advocacies? Hmm.
I just spent around PhP 900.00 to consult a doctor and buy medicines because I haven't been feeling well since Monday afternoon. The doctor gave me Hydrite (Oral Rehydration Salt) and Erceflora (good bacteria).

I don't like (dislike) writing reports. I'm currently making one, and it's taking away all of my patience. What to do? I still have three more levels to make. I'm done with sixth grade. Just High one, two, and four to go. I wish the report could write itself.
Everything has its season
Everything has its time
Show me a reason and I'll soon show you a rhyme
Cats fit on the windowsill
Children fit in the snow Why do I feel I don't fit in anywhere I go?
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly I've got to be where my spirit can run free Got to find my corner of the sky
Every man has his daydreams
Every man has his goal
People like the way dreams have
Of sticking to the soul
Thunderclouds have their lightning
Nightingales have their song
And don't you see I want my life to be Something more than long....
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
I've got to be where my spirit can run free
Got to find my corner of the sky
So many men seem destined
To settle for something small But I won't rest until I know I'll have it all
So don't ask where I'm going
Just listen when I'm gone
And far away you'll hear me singing
Softly to the dawn:
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
I've got to be where my spirit can run free
Got to find my corner of the sky
The pains of being young--not knowing where to go, not knowing what to do. The world is too uncertain. There is no structure to follow. Freedom is not liberating, it suffocates.
Where do I go? Will I stay where I am, or explore more?
It is my desire to go to Spain this August 2011. I am looking forward to two things—the MAGIS experience, and the World Youth Day. They say experience is the best teacher. I am excited to experience new things and learn a lot of things from this trip. I look forward to the Ignatian formation that MAGIS will provide in Loyola—the very roots of our Father Ignatius. I am excited with this description written in the MAGIS website: “Twenty days to SHARE your time with other young adults, to CELEBRATE life, to LEARN something about yourself, about our world, and about God. A chance to PRAY for growth. Time to ACCOMPANY other people and to take a look into others stories. To LIVE TOGETHER in this way, perhaps you will discover many other reasons that make this life a fascinating opportunity.” (www.magis2011.org/) In the World Youth Day, I am excited to be united with millions of young people to proclaim our Faith.
I’ve always believed that formation is an investment in the goodness of the human person. Now I am writing to ask you to invest in me. I’ve never been good at selling stuff, but here I am now, taking this opportunity to ask you to invest in me. Let me tell you a bit more about myself—I am Jaymee Duran, I earn just enough by working full time in the Christian Life Community (CLC) Formation Institute. I handle the formation of our youth members and outside clients. Think: Campus Ministry but outside the structure of a school. I believe that this trip to Spain would make me a better person, a better minister for the youth.
I need to raise USD 2,000.00 to go to Spain. I only have a little, but when we put together all our “littles” then it becomes much. “Little becomes much when we put it in the Master’s hands.” It would be just enough for that trip to Spain. I’ve been always amazed by the gospel of the multiplication of the bread. Through it I’ve learned to trust that God will indeed provide.
Will you help me with this desire of mine? Will you share your “little” and with me put it in the Master’s hand?
