ayun. todo kantiyaw sa akin ang mga katabi ko sa second row. i said something kasi about "ANI really changes people" dahil ayun, basta, may sinabi akong experience ko. :) masaya ako na ganito ang nararamdaman ko sa ANI. malaki ang pinagbago ko simula nang naging bahagi ako ng grupong ito.

grabe, isang taon na mula ang world youth day?
naaalala ko pa na sumakay kami ng train para makarating sa dusseldorf para sa WYD celebrations.. tapos ngayon, isang taon na ang nakalipas?

para alalahanin ang experience, at magpasalamat na rin, nag-organize ako ng Mass para sa mga delegates na atenista. (ito yung email sa kanila). sa grupo namin, tatlo lamang kami dahil 'di nakapunta sina cara, kuya mark c., at fr. bobby. mula sa ibang grupo, nag-Mass si CH. :)

natuwa talaga ako nung nakita ko sila ulit. next time mag-oorganize ako ng "big thing" para sa mga delegates. sayang naman kasi yung experience 'diba? chinallenge nga ako ni Sr. Reylie na ituloy. :) bakit hindi? gusto ko kasi mahanap 'yung mga ibang delegates. around campus kasi may mga nakikita akong may mga back pack, id strap, tshirt, etc. na WYD. eh shy ako lapitan sila. hmm. project ko 'yan before the school year ends. ok ba yun?

after ng Mass, Mrs. Nibungco (Gel's Mom) treated us to Max's Katipunan. :) wala lang, natuwa ako.

dahil pumunta ako sa lecture-concert na ito, na-miss ko ang mga music days ko..

ang piano lessons nung bata ako na medyo di ko na-e-enjoy dahil tamad ako mag-practice.. kaya lagi akong pinapagalitan ng teacher ko..

tapos noong naging flute na ang instrument ko, tamad pa rin ako magpractice on my own.. pero ang mga memories ng ang pagtambay sa band room, ang pagpractice ng mga piyesa for long hours, pagtugtog sa mga special occasions ng school. ang mga free lunch at "excused" sa classes.. hehe.

tapos nung college naman na ako, nag-enroll ako once sa UP Music Extension Classes para sa flute. tamad pa rin magpractice. after ng module na iyon, di na nasundan.. kaya naman tuwing magkukuwento si jan tungkol sa classes niya, maiinggit ako, pero 'di ko naman kasi kaya pagsabayin sa acads ko at sa mga social responsibilities ko, at iba pang obligasyon..

promise, isang araw mababalikan ko ang pag-aral formally ng music.. sa ngayon, magdodownload na lamang ako ng mga mozart, schumann, chopin, at iba pa.. i'll just imagine na kasama ako sa tumutugtog doon. :)

isa sa mga idol ko sa buhay. ang galing niya eh. sabi nga sa DS, kapag gumagawa ka na ng thesis, "If all else fails -- Amartya Sen!" kasi ganoon siya kagaling. kunin mo lang ang mga konsepto niya at ang mga framework niya, makagagawa ka na ng matino at ng relevant na thesis na (sana) makatutulong sa development field.

Ben ang mga concepts ni Amartya Sen sa kanyang mga talk. galing!

Once nga, sa edsa walk, nakasalubong ko si Fr. Ben, eh dala ko yung Development as Freedom ko. tapos he stopped then told me, "wow, you're reading Amartya Sen" haha. cool.
