When I was a kid, I remember visiting the White Cross orphanage. In that orphanage, there was a room full of cribs, filled with crying children. When they were carried, they would immediately stop crying, but when it was time to put them down again, they would cry so hard that when you hear/see them your heart would be broken with apathy.
They didn't want to be put back in the crib again. They wanted to feel the love of a family.
It feels so bad to be left behind. People would come and pick up the child, give false hopes that he would be given the love and comfort of a home--but then he would just be returned to the cold and lonely crib.
Does anyone still LJ
